Does anything you ask
I am another owner of the older barrel grip saw. I've used it to cut everything from 1/8 in Finnish plywood to inch thick brass rod.
It's durable, accurate, powerful, easy to use.

One thing that I would change
I own the older version of this barrel grip jigsaw and. I'm very happy with the saw except that I wish that it had a trigger type power switch instead of the awkward slider switch on the side of the saw.

Great tool
I purchased this saw last year because my old saw wasn't up to the task.As a woodworker i needed a professional tool and this one works flawlessly. this is the best jigsaw hou can find for the money.
As we all know bosch is the inventor of the jigsaw and this one difinitely lives up to the reputation.I would have liked if it had the precision control system as on their older models but this saw is stil very precise eaven without it.I compared it to my dad's saw and the bosch cuts a lot smoother and vibrates way less.Very nice product tank you Bosch

Scroll to jig the best saw for the job
Great products may seem to cost more like the Bosch profession series. The fact is I've save money and time in projects. I've own other Jig saws for competitors as well as some of Bosch's earlier Models. The problem with the earlier models where not the product but the friends I lent them to. I've done professional tile cutting with diamon blades with this jig saw. Cut through MDF board like a knife through hot butter. Which I will add the cuts where almost as straight as bech saw with a glide table. Have use this Jig saw for Oak, Ash, Cedar and Mohagany trim.I'm not easy on my tools niether, I've replaced bent and broken blades. I have gunked up and glued up tools on job sites do to restricted working space. The Bosch tools have always taken the beating and keeps me working. Form the bottom of my heart, thankyou Bosch tools. A name I trust when buying tools I want to last.
