Improved Diamond Formula Provides up to 5X Longer Life
Mount Prospect, Ill – Bosch has created a high-performance diamond blade lineup that delivers up to five times longer life and 20 percent more speed than standard diamond blades. The new blade formulations are specially designed to deliver optimal performance for the specific concrete, tile and hard material applications they are used for. The upgraded diamond blades are the latest innovation for Bosch, which has a heritage in providing industry-leading solutions for speed and durability in concrete drilling and cutting.
“We spent over two years in the field working with concrete and masonry contractors and our team of engineers to upgrade our diamond formulation,” states Matt Van, Product Manager. “Through extensive testing and detailed chemistry and design, we added durability by reducing excessive blade wear and preventing segment cracking, which are problems often reported by end-users. At the same time, the Bosch team increased average cutting speed by up to 20 percent.”
The lineup includes segmented rim blades designed for fast, rough cuts in concrete, brick and pavers. Industrial diamond and metal matrix segments extend the overall life and performance of the blade, and an upgraded usable segment rim height provides consistent cutting depth with every use in sizes from 4”-14” for use with grinders, paver and tile saws and high speed gas powered saws.
The upgraded turbo rim blades feature an improved steel core with cooling holes, which evenly cools the blade surface for longer life. These new turbo blades also feature an enhanced bond as well as improved diamond quality and concentration for longer life, crack resistance and smooth, fast cuts in stone, concrete, and masonry.
With the increase of tile applications, Bosch enhanced the continuous rim blades with an increased area of usable segment rim height versus previous blades. This feature enables improved wet or dry chip free cutting of ceramic, porcelain and granite with grinders or tile saws available in sizes from 4 to 10” diameter.
Upgraded packaging helps users identify the right blade for the job with easy-to-read blade size and color application photos. The package was tested with contractors and found to help users choose the appropriate blade up to twice as quickly as compared to competitive packaging.
Bosch’s complete line of diamond blades offers a solution for every concrete, tile and masonry application. Each blade is manufactured to exacting specifications with the needs of the user in mind. As part of its ongoing commitment to its position as the leader in concrete cutting and drilling, Bosch continues to expand its accessories line with RTech chisels, rebar cutters and SpeedX™ SDS-max® drill bits for glass and tile, and X5L full-head carbide bits. Additionally, for efficient dust removal and collection in masonry cutting applications, Bosch’s DC-Series attachments keep worksites dust-free without sacrificing performance.
Bosch diamond blades are available through Home Depot and select industrial distributors across the country. To learn more or to find a local dealer, visit www.boschtools.com or call 877-BOSCH-99
